FOUND: Rat devices are intended to operate at no more than 200mA per module. When both are connected and operating, found that they draw around 220-240mA for about 30 seconds, Then sleep for 60 seconds where they draw about 40-60mA. When the vehicle is operating they are constantly being charged therefore npthere is no worries there. Recommend leaving one connected to see if one still results in a draw condition. Tested Costco interstate battery and found it tested okay at this time. Recommend sending vehicle off this way and re-testing battery 2 weeks from today.

FOUND: code p0101 mass air flow sensor performance. Check the mass air flow data on the scan tool and found that the values are within normal range at this time. Inspected the throttle body and found some slight carbon buildup around the throttle door. This can sometimes change the airflow through the throttle body which can affect the reading produced by the mass air flow sensor. Cleaned the throttle body in cleared the trouble code.

FOUND: tested power supply circuit for the electronic intake valve timing control module and found that battery power is missing from the module. The wiring diagrams indicate that this power comes from a 40 amp fusible Link in the underhood fuse box. When inspecting the fuse box it was found that this fusible link is missing. A temporary fuse was installed and the code was cleared and the vehicle was test driven. The code did not reset during City street driving. Recommend replace the 40 amp fusible link with a factory part and retest. It is possible that the fusible link may open circuit under higher load conditions in this case more diagnosis will be needed. Performed road test after fuse replacement. Code has not reset at this time.
