This reading remains even if the fuel cap is removed which should vent any vacuum or pressure from the system. The pressure sensor has likely failed and will need to be replaced so that the system can be retested and evaluated further. It is possible that this condition is also preventing some of the monitors from completing. Recommend replace the fuel tank pressure sensor with gasket and retest. Mileage98,322Service Date4/29/2026Services Performed- FOUND: code p0365 exhaust camshaft position sensor circuit. Code p0556 brake booster pressure sensor performance. Inspected the exhaust camshaft position sensor. The housing appears to be broken and the sensor is loose from its mounting bolt. Recommend replace the exhaust camshaft position sensor and retest. There is no vacuum present at the brake vacuum booster. The vacuum comes from a pump on the back of the engine. There is no vacuum on the outlet Port of this pump. The pump will need to be removed for inspection. The pump and or the camshaft that drives it may be damaged. While attempting to remove the camshaft position sensor for replacement, it was discovered that pieces of the vacuum pump for the brake booster have broken and are inside the cylinder head. One of these pieces contacted the cam sensor and caused it to break. There may be damage to the camshaft or other components within the cylinder head.

2005 Lexus GS 300
Mileage68,811Service Date2/5/2026Services Performed- FOUND: code p0117 engine coolant temperature sensor circuit low. Coolant sensor reading on scan tool appear to be normal. Need to raise the vehicle to inspect the sensor and the wiring. Accessed the coolant temperature sensor. The wiring and the connector look to be okay at this time. The sensor is outputting a normal reading at this time. There is a coolant leak at the water housing which connects to the lower radiator hose at the engine. It is likely that the vehicle lost enough coolant from this leak that it caused the engine to overheat which produced a reading from the coolant temperature sensor that was out of the normal range. The coolant temperature at the time the code set was reading 275°. Over 1 gallon of coolant had to be added to perform a cooling system pressure test.
