    • FOUND: scan data indicates that the fuel rail pressure is extremely low during cranking. Tested the intake fuel pump circuits and found that it has adequate power and ground. The pump is not producing any current indicating that it has failed. Recommend replace the intake fuel pump in tank fuel filter and any external fuel filters and retest the system. The high pressure pump cannot be evaluated until the low pressure system is supplying adequate fuel pressure.

    • FOUND: blower motor doesn't turn on when switch engaged. Have power and ground going to motor . Power going to blower motor resistor . Blower motor was bench tested and passed spun motor spun both ways blower motor worked on high with resistor out , then stopped working plugged test bulb into blower connector to test if change in resistor it does change light gets brighter and dimmer . Blower motor inoperable and burnt smell coming from resistor . Recommend:blower motor due to being inoperable. Blower motor resistor even though showed signs of functioning ,blower motor was drawing more current from resistor than needed and overworked it causing the burnt electrical smell and possible failure in future best to change now.

    • FOUND: fuse number six in the instrument panel fuse block was missing. This fuse provides power for the left turn stop lamps. After this fuse was replaced, the rear turn signals function normally, however the left front turn signals remain on steady at all times even when the truck is off. There is apparently a short somewhere to the left front turn signals causing them to remain on. Circuit testing showed that the body control module is applying power at all times to the left front turn signal circuit. Disconnecting the body control module removes the power from this circuit. Recommend replace the body control module. Note that Aftermarket accessories that are tied into the body control module wiring may cause damage to the body control module.
