You 1141 lost brake and torque messages. U1120 implausible wheel distance message Performed voltage drop test of the battery to engine block and Battery to chassis grounds and found that they are good at this time. Load tested the battery and found that it had passing test results: Rated CCA 760. Measured CCA 896 Charging system is working at this time supplying approximately 14 volts. There is no evidence of rodent damage to the wiring observed at this time

2019 Nissan Altima
Mileage54,848Service Date12/12/2024Services Performed- FOUND: tested power supply circuit for the electronic intake valve timing control module and found that battery power is missing from the module. The wiring diagrams indicate that this power comes from a 40 amp fusible Link in the underhood fuse box. When inspecting the fuse box it was found that this fusible link is missing. A temporary fuse was installed and the code was cleared and the vehicle was test driven. The code did not reset during City street driving. Recommend replace the 40 amp fusible link with a factory part and retest. It is possible that the fusible link may open circuit under higher load conditions in this case more diagnosis will be needed. Performed road test after fuse replacement. Code has not reset at this time.

2007 Cadillac Escalade EXT
Mileage135,010Service Date11/26/2024Services Performed- FOUND: after the vehicle ran for a period of time it was determined that communication was being lost on the high-speed controller area Network (CAN) data bus. Both the transmission control module and the engine control module stopped communicating with the scan tool. The vehicle at this time would not start. There were codes in multiple control modules for communication data loss. Scope tested the can data bus at the diagnostic connector and found an abnormal voltage waveform indicating a possible open circuit in the wiring harness or in a module. The body control module under the driver side of the dash was accessed to allow the circuit to be tested to determine if one of the termination resistors was not present on the data bus. The ohm meter showed that at the time of the fault the 120 ohm termination resistor in the engine control module was not present on the network. The engine control module was accessed and the termination resistor was checked and found to be good. This pointed to a possible problem with the wiring at the transmission control module, wiring from transmission control module to body control module, or the engine control module. Further diagnosis time needed to confirm failure.
- FOUND: please see the first repair line item for an explanation of the can data bus communication fault.
- FOUND: Trace/diagnose possible problem with the wiring at the transmission control module, the transmission control module itself, or a problem with the wiring between the transmission control module and the engine control module. The transmission control module connector was accessed and one of the pins that carries the data for the can data bus was found to be receded into the connector and not making good contact with the in the transmission. The terminal pin connection was repaired and the vehicle was allowed to run for an extended period of time. The communication Network remained active and no trouble codes were set in the engine control module or transmission control module. The instrument cluster operation also remained normal.

2016 Ford Expedition

Substituted test light in place of motor. Light illuminates in "open" switch position but not close. Removed panel to to gain access to auxiliary relay box. Tested for power at relay"coil" side -test light illuminates. Tested ground to relay with test light-ok. Relay installed in "close window" position only a 4 pin and is supposed to be 5 pin. Removed blower motor relay right next to it and found them to be swapped. Installed relays in their proper position and windows and blower motor working as designed at this time.
