- FOUND: code P0420 catalyst efficiency low Bank 1. Observed the activity of the downstream oxygen sensor on the scan tool. The switching frequency of the sensor shows that the converter is not storing oxygen efficiently. Vehicle appears to be in normal ranges of fuel control and no misfires have been detected. Need to check for exhaust leaks before condemning the catalytic converter.
