- FOUND: performed throttle body relearn procedure. Cleared the codes and test drove the vehicle. Code P0121 (throttle position sensor 1 performance) reset during the test drive. Further diagnosis is needed
- FOUND: the throttle body unit has been replaced as well as the electrical connector. The air intake duct is also an aftermarket part. The wires in the electrical connector do not match the factory diagram for the wire locations of the factory connector. The readings on the scan tool appear to be correct however indicating that the circuits are receiving the correct signals. The terminals were cleaned and checked for proper tension and then the connector was reinstalled to the throttle body assembly. The vehicle was test driven multiple times and the code has not reset. If the code should reset, the following components May need to be replaced with Factory parts: The throttle body assembly The electrical connector for the throttle body The aftermarket air intake duct and air filter housing assembly.
