- FOUND: found that there was a blown fuse in the under hood fuse box. This was fused number 18. This 10 amp fuse Powers the rain sensor as well as other components including the controller area network Gateway module. This fuse was probably blown when the wires were cut at the rain sensor. Replaced 10 amp micro fuse. The wires are spliced into the correct places at the rain sensor connector, however the connectors that were used are damaged. Recommend rewiring the connector into the harness with better crimp connectors and heat shrink
